Toy Story is a CGI animated media franchise created by Pixar and distributed by Disney, beginning with the original 1995 film, Toy Story. The franchise focuses on a group of toys that secretly come to life and end up unexpectedly embarking on an unplanned, yet life-changing adventure. The first two films of the franchise were directed by John Lasseter and the third by Lee Unkrich. Sequels were Toy Story 2 and Toy Story 3. They later released all Toy Story 3D in theaters. Toy Story Toons: Hawaiian Vacation is a 2011 Pixar animated short. The short features characters from all Toy Story movie series and takes place after the events of Toy Story 3. It was released in theatres before Pixar's feature film Cars 2. In it, Ken and Barbie want to go to Hawaii, but get left behind and Woody, Buzz and the other toys from the previous film intend to console them by "improvising an island vibe".

Toy Story Small Fry, another Toy Story short, will premiere before The Muppets. Toy Story has announced at D23 that they will be showing their short entitled, Small Fry, before the muppets in theatres! So whats Small Fry all about? Well in this short, Bonnie, the little girl who now owns all the toys leaves buzz lightyear at a fast food restaurant, by accidentally taking the toy from her kids meal who also happens to be a version of buzz. Now buzz is on a mission to find his way back home with the help of other lost kids meal toys...something cool to add, the leader of the lost toys is a mermaid warrior voiced by Jane Lynch!
